After a short night due to the Spring time change, our tired state was soon forgotten with an early start around 8am near the Siviez ski lift heading to le Métailler.  Crampons in place, we headed up in the shade and forest for an hour or so and soon hit a clearing and beautiful sunny skies.  Our highly motivated group of about 10 skiers removed the crampons and started our long ascent in the beautiful snowy corridor.  About 300 meters from the peak, we left 2 team members to keep our lunch spot warm, as we finished our last climb to Le Métailler.  After some beautiful pictures at the top, we headed back down to join them for a lovely picnic while sun tanning as it was so warm.  We found some nice powder on the descent, before hitting the tree line which was a bit slippery and tricky but Nicolas managed to find the best powdery spots among the trees to keep it fun!  We all arrived safe and sound back at the parking, and said our good-byes.  Thanks CAS for a great outing!
